Hotel Tara, in Nyíregyháza-Sóstó, is a pleasant family run hotel in its own one hectare green area. Its 22 full comfort rooms of 5 different styles offer something for everybody-from stylish double bed rooms to 2 room mini appartments sleeping 4 . All rooms have color TV and air-conditioning, and WIFI (wireless computer) is available throughout the hotel .
The Hotel Tara boasts of a fine kitchen-open all day-serving Hungarian and Italian dishes . For groups wine tasting in the cellar or csarda parties can be arranged  The hotel bar area reflects the eclectic interests of the Irish owners . Our menus are available here

An indoor 9 meter swimming pool  and 2 clay tennis courts round out the opportunities. These are open from March till November.. Adults and children can enjoy themselves in the play areas provided for them , including the tramboline and childrens playhouse with swings and slide.. This year we started our outdoor nine-pin bowling alley- old fashiomed village fun for young and old.

For quiet weekends away or family vacations or mini-conferences, the Hotel Tara offers possibilities for your requirements, and will endeavor to meet all reasonable special requests.

Hungarian, English, German are spoken daily at reception  . Written French and Italian can also be handled by our staff.

The hotel is open year round except for the Christmas and New Year period, when the staff gets the opportunity to enjoy some prime time themselves, after looking after the guests for the rest of the year.

To get to Hotel Tara –by train-train to Nyíregyháza main station and then take bus Number 8 (to last stop) and walk about 200 meters to next corner on the right.

To get to Hotel Tara –by car- from Polgár into Nyíregyháza, over the bridge, turn left on ring road (6 o’clock) and proceed to Sóstógyógyfördő sign (approx. 9 o’clock), turn left and proceed about 4 kolometers to Sóstó, over railroad bridge, go straight ahead int Sóstó to right hand curve past the Strand and next corner on right hand side.
To get to Hotel Tara –by car-from Debrecen into Nyíregyháza, over the bridge turn right on ring road (3 o’clock) and proceed around ring road past Záhony sing (11 o’clock) to Sóstógyógyfürdő sign (9 o’clock), turn right and proceed about 4 kilometers to Sóstó, over railroad bridge, go straight ahead into Sóstó to right hand curve past the Strand and next corner on right hand side.

To get to Hotel Tara- by plane- fly over Sóstó, jump and open parachute. Aim for north side of lake and large circle on roof of Hotel Tara.
